Victorious Faith church was pioneered by Pastor Sherwood and Gloria Vegsund in a living room in West Linn Oregon in early 1990. Shortly thereafter, the congregation moved to a small storefront location near the Clackamas County courthouse in Oregon City. The congregation continued to grow and in a couple of years, they made an arrangement to rent the second floor ballroom of the Oregon City Elks Lodge. Progress did not end there. In late 1999, the purchase of the existing Oregon City Methodist church building on Center Street was completed and Victorious Faith held its first service in the present location on New Year’s Eve of the Millennium, December 31, 1999. Victorious Faith Church is a family oriented church that believes strongly in the miracle working power of God. Our goal at Victorious Faith Church is to see people grow in every area of there life as they pursue God with there whole heart.

Pastors Sherwood and Gloria Vegsund were married in 1960 and spent most of the next twenty five years making a living and raising a family. But as the years went by, the presence of God become more and more important in their lives. Around 1980, Gloria attended bible school, joined the staff of a local church and began teaching neighborhood bible studies. In 1985, Sherwood resigned his position with a local construction firm and enrolled in Rhema Bible Training Center. Upon graduating bible college Pastor Sherwood and Gloria  pastored a church in the Midwest for several years and then felt led to move to Oregon.
